Introducing I Am Ritz-Carlton, a series profiling the artisans who create special moments at The Ritz-Carlton. Here, we meet Wesley, who recharges his creative energy by exploring the nature and history woven into the city he calls home.
Name: Wesley Hepburn
Position: Senior Food & Beverages Operation Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.
How he makes guests feel special: “I listen and act on their unexpressed wishes — having been in the industry for a while, you learn patterns of what guests want and appreciate, and what guests need and how to approach different relationships and personalities. I apply my experience and learnings with a personalized touch.”
Favorite way to enjoy the city: “I’m a cyclist. As for road cycling, I enjoy the trails as they are scenic and free from traffic — Rock Creek is great as well as the Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) Canal trail. As for mountain biking, I keep it local and get on a trail from my front door that leads me to Fort Dupont Park.”
From chefs to guest relations managers, meet the people who create special moments for Ritz-Carlton guests — you might pick up a few expert destination tips, too.
